WHAT IS INSIDE
1. ECO-BASE - Four scientists need a base beside a wild river without harming it. Site evidence, water maths, an ice-cube insulation test, a built model.
2. EXTREME WEATHER - A storm is coming to Riverside and not everyone can leave. Official forecast against a frightening online post, shelter maths, a waterproofing test, a flood barrier and a safety message.

HOW A LAB RUNS
- Ten sessions, designed to run one a day over two weeks. One a week across a term works too; go at your child's pace.
- Three stages: Look and learn (sessions 1-3), Try and test (4-6), Make it (7-10).
- Every session has the same five parts: Last time, Learn, Your turn, Project log, Stop here.
- Help lines give younger learners a first step. Extra challenge questions stretch Grades 6-7, and can be skipped.
- Works for one child at home, a pair, or a small group.
- Nothing specialised to buy. The materials list above is kitchen-drawer and recycling.
